So I just got off the phone with Robert at Fp.

Here are the cliff notes.

I bought a used turbo. That was probably beat to ****. And its starting to fail. The blades started making contact with the housing of the turbo and making a god awful sound then like magic it went away and the turbo started working fine. Only to do it again a day later.

ONCE AGAIN to Clear this up.

I bought a used turbo that's a JB turbo. 2 Years old. FP is not to blame for a faulty product since the turbo worked fine when it was first sold.

Lesson to be learned is don't buy used Turbo's!

And I do apologize for bringing up a thread that was from March of last year.

I don't think Forced Performance sells crappy turbo's. At this point they are even willing to help me out even though they know I am not the original owner of the turbo and the turbo was not brand new.

Guess I made a *** of myself making the first post on this old *** thread.

^ At least you came back on here and made a correction. That is more than many would have done.

That's nice of you to make things right like FP has done. I just purchased a used JB red and have all the confidence in the world that its going to be awesome. Turbo is in great shape and they just got done porting my exhaust housing. Can't wait to install it

Porsche runs vacuum pumps on the crank cases in their newer turbo cars from the factory because it works. Turbo's get lubrication from the oiling system on the car, not from crank case oil blowing in the intake. If this was not the case, then every OEM that put a turbo on a car would have an oiler fogging the inlet. I gotta throw the bs flag on this one.
Porsche runs vacuum pumps off the camshaft. On turbo's and GT3 style blocks. They do this to properly ensure a good vacuum supply to the brake booster and all the vacuum control valves, it has nothing to do with oiling or crankcase ventilation. On all modern Porsche's they do have oil separators, which is like a PCV system that dumps into a "catch can", but is vented back through the intake and the oil is drain back into the block. Which is nothing close to a VTA setup.
