I had an O2 dump on for 200 miles. I didn't get it tuned, but it wasn't going to work for me. I use my car in the summer. Could be flashlight drags, car shows, grocery store, or karate class for 4 year olds. It was too loud. Everyone, including my tuner warned me. I live in the suburbs, where there's plenty of police. They don't hassle me and I'd like to keep it that way. If it was more of a track car, I'd keep it. But, it was seriously loud. Just be prepared for that. The 10 whp wasn't worth it for me.

I'm all to familiar w/ the loudness of an open dump - I run one on my turbo e46 m3- I personally love it- but it is a little much for a daily driver type car in a residential area. One thing I'd like to know is just how much louder does it make the car at just idle for example- I never had a point of reference to make such a comparison. Again- I'm looking to max out my stock block set up and could use every trick in the book- if this open dump set up can really get me 10whp- i'll take it.

It only makes the car louder when the wastegate is open, which is only when hard on the throttle.

I'm always hard on the throttle....That's why I bought it. But seriously, it was just a little much. Maybe I'm getting old.

It is loud. But 6spdlegend asked about noise at idle. Which an external wastegate has no affect on..

my single turbo 4.8 s10 was open gate, and my twin turbo silverado has two open gates and neither bothered me at all, but my evo is just way too loud.
i have a ss green with the fp o2 housing and wg dump. i hate how loud it is, eventually im going to route it into the downpipe to quiet it down.

I recently went from a megan to a map dump o2 eliminator downpipe on my 2.4. The car is stupid loud now. If you are worried about police or others complaining you shouldn't buy this, or just crack open the gate at a appropriate time /place. The car only gets louder then normal when you have reached your gated pressure/spring rate. It dose free up some extra power and like most of us know; you will need a retune.

I still have my 02 DUMP, love it. Opens under wastgate Spring pressure on my FP RED so it only hits when I want it to.
