Hey guys i purchased my second Evo few weeks ago and need some work done on it anybody close to Bowling Green Kentucky that is willing to give me some advice and possibly do some good for me it is a 2003 model with 93000 miles please let me know thanks in advance

At what mileage does Mitsubishi suggest you replace your timing belt/water pump?

timing belt every 60k along with driveline fluids.
water pump I don't think has an interval. But you should replace it at the same time to save hassle.

Hi guys,

I recently did all of this to my baby, and it works like a charm. The only thing is that the Gates Water Pump - 42577 didnot worked on my 7.

Does someone knows which water pump can I buy for my 7? Appreciate the help.

Are these parts even slightly different than oem parts? Would it be wise to use these parts on a high horsepower build or is this more for low to midrange power evos?

So I am unable to do this job on my own right now due to injuries and the dealer wants to sell me the balancer belt tensioner part number MD352473 and that part isn't listed here. Is this a part that needs to be replaced at 60k on an 03 Evo?

Yep - balance shaft belt and tensioner must be replaced. If that thing breaks it will create mayhem by wrapping around the cam belt, smashing the CAS and trigger wheel, and possibly causing your camshaft pulleys to skip time, wiping out your valve train in the process.

Hi guys, proud Evo V owner here

Does anyone know in the practice if evo V pump is the same as evo 8?

I have different part numbers:

CP9A (Evo V/VI) : MD975913

CT9A (Evo VII-IX) : MD977311

But for both, the replacement number is 1300A069

So techincally, they are the same. Can someone confirm?

I have not ordered the kit because of this detail
