You should change all three belts (timing, serpentine/accessory and balancer) along with tensioners, idler pulleys, etc

water pump is also recommended as a precaution

bump from the dead.. does anyone know if the VIII and IX water pumps are the same? i can't find a "IX" water pump anywhere!

edit for anyone looking: use the VIII. you do not need the additional mounting point on the water pump. it's overkill. this is why Gates has not seen fit to make a IX-specific water pump.

So I assume I have to order this part seperately? Rock Auto doesnt have it.
