FP black upgrade price?

I was looking on their website and only see upgrade to the fp green and red, and only bb bearing black. Do they not make the jb black anymore as an uprgrade. Just thought i would ask to see if someone knew anything. I have a 2.4L 10:1 motor and was deciding on red or black. Im not willing to spend $1899 right now bb black, so if thats the only option, guess i will do the jb red for now. Ive been seeing great power with the 2.4L/Black combo so thats why i was interested in that, but the build took up alot of my money and $1899 is just to much for me right now. Lol My goals were 550-575whp so guess that may have to come down if i get the red.

No they dont offer jb stock frame turbos anymore. Well I cant say all stock frame turbos but the black for sure. They will convert a stock Evo 9 turbo to a BB black though but you wont save much money.

I would contact FP directly. They might still be able to build you a JB Black. I read on here a few days ago that someone was able to buy a JB Red from FP, even though they don't list them on their website anymore.

I contacted them about the red already and they said $999, so I may call them about the black today. STWhy, my oil pump went out a couple months ago and it just had quite a bit of shaft play when i got my motor back in. I loved the green turbo, but just want 550+hp and I'm not sure I can get those goals with the green.

That was the price to convert the used turbo, or was that a new turbo price?

Used 9 turbo or fp green turbo to the journal bearing red.

$999 for an fp red upgrade and $1899 for bb fp black upgrade. Those are pretty much the prices, i may just stick with the green for now and upgrade to the black maybe next year after i get all the supporting mods like double pumper and gsc s3 cams. Thanks

Reds and Blacks are no longer offered in Journal Bearing form either new or upgraded. The upgrade option was recently removed but the new turbo option has been discontinued for over 3 months.

If you want a Red or Black it will have to be a Ball Bearing unit.
