OK guys I have a couple of questions for you. I've got the plumbing and wiring kits all sorted out finally. You will be able to purchase the hanger/pumps alone, roll your own lines and wiring. You will also be about to purchase a nice wiring harness kit with 10ga wiring straight to the battery if you like. But my question is about the fuel lines:

1) PTFE/Teflon hose and fittings are very costly, so we're looking at something like $350 for a kit that includes premade lines, crimped fittings, fuel filter, etc. This uses the stock supply line as the return and you would need to run a new line to the engine bay. This isn't a stainless braided, it's the Kevlar type so it won't ruin whatever it touches. PTFE/Teflon is obviously used to keep all fumes from permeating the hose. This is the high end. Going to be about $350.

2) CPE (regular AN line, Aeroquip Startlite) kit would include fittings, hose, filter, etc and use the stock supply line as the return. You would run a line to the engine bay just like with the PTFE kit. But this one would come unassembled with an instruction sheet for cut lengths and whatnot. It's less than half the price of the PTFE. Price will be around $150 for this kit.

3) Stock line kit, maybe. We can connect the stock lines, both supply and return, to the hat and it would be inexpensive to do. But that return line is soooooo tiny. It would be the least expensive option for sure. CPE hose, fittings, etc. Price will be about $110.

We can sell hose and reusable fittings for PTFE and CPE both for running up to the engine bay as well.

So the real question here: How many people would spend the extra $ for PTFE premade lines over the CPE kit? The reason I ask is because stocking the PTFE lines is expensive and I can't do anything else with the hose and fittings once they are made and put on the shelf if nobody buys them.

I been reading this thread. I would be interested ina unit that has 2 -6 or -8 fittings on it with 2 walbro E85 safe pumps. I already have lines and fpr.

Will it be setup to run one pump all the time and the second one to come on as we have them setup now? Some use a Hobbs switch some have I wired to there standalone

The units always come with -8 o-ring ports for both supply and return and we supply them with AN flare adapter fittings in those ports for your choice of -6 or -8.

Each pump is wired individually and our harness has a tap in it to run the Hobbs switch, which we can also provide. Or you can trigger the relay for that pump from your ECM, no problem there.

I already have -8 feed and -6 return hardlines made and it's all converted to AN. So I guess I wouldn't be a good person to give feedback.

However I run the Earls pro lite which is like the Starlite you were talking about. I would prefer that.

So all I would have to do is screw on my fuel line to the fittings???

Can you pm me a total price on that setup plus wiring harness that will work with how my double pumper is wired. I would like 2 E85 walbro pumps.

They will be available next week - we made up a large batch but they are still out for anodizing. I'll get a complete rundown of the pricing options posted tomorrow or Monday...

you should list a group buy or a poll for best results.

Aeroquip AQP is 100 percent ethanol/methanol compatible and is priced very reasonably. A single -6 feed and the stock return line is all that is needed. Zero need for PTFE-regardless of what people have 'heard'.

Stock return line/regulator is also fine.

most people dont like the stainless braid though, its like a cheese grater to paint. im going to try russell twist loc hose, its compatible and i heard it doesnt reek of fumes like most braided hose.

Really going to depend on the person getting the kit... most will opt for 2 wally 255s and run stock feed and stock FPR with stock return for simplicity and cost... that is proven to over 700 HP as is...

Fred,
I spoke to the engineer from Walbro @ SEMA... he went into great detail about how the OG 255 HP pumps were not meant to be used in Ethanol and about 6 reasons why they'll fail prematurely. That being said... they HAVE been used in ethanol by about everybody with great success, but I think I'll be going to their Ethanol 400lph pumps.

I agree though... leave the details up to the guy plumbing it. If we're going AN.... we can do it. If they want to use a 100% oem lines, that's where I think you'll want to support the customer.

Where is the limit for stock lines and at what sort of power / boost do you need to upgrade to an an size lines?
