Mychalo, is your friends a more recently built one or an early one?
I know that Andy had some issues with the first units and the pumps being down to far. I believe he mounted them higher after that.
To my recollection the pump would need to be moved higher. I think the PIA with that is just shortening the fuel line from the top of the pump to the hanger. The bracket can be loosened and slide the pump up a bit.
Correct me if I am wrong but that is what I remember of the assembly.
