Clutch Dragging and Lock Out - FX300

Looking for some help on some ongoing issues I've been having with this clutch. Car is an 05 with a Clutch Master FX300 with about 1500 miles on it. The main issues I am having is this clutch drags regardless of what I do. When adjusting the clutch I can get it to the point where it feels good and I can shift at high rpms but the clutch drags when on the 2 step (Set at 5800). I have adjusted this thing to the point I am out of adjustment rod and it still drags and also locks me out of gear at high rpms if I adjust it too long.

This clutch has also chattered/shuttered almost since day 1 when pulling out in first gear (whole car shakes). Reverse is good. The flywheel was resurfaced when it was put in.

I have tried adjusting this thing per Jack Transmission video and threads I can find here. I have bled the clutch endless times, put aftermarket shifter bushings in, base bushings, removed restrictor pill, and put in a stiff front motor mount. The car has never been launched and was broken in properly.

I had an ACT in it prior to this and car shifted fine.

About the only thing I am left with is install error or the clutch is just a piece of ****.

Any one else have any ideas or something to look for? I am about to just call it quits and get a new clutch. Thanks for any help!

Update... Does anyone think this is excessive movement from the tranny mount? It doesnt look as bad in video. It almost looks like the tranny moves away from the engine when pushing in the clutch. Checked all the housing bolts, rear mount, and tranny mount and everything was tight.

Anyone??

Could the flywheel possibly be warped or machined improperly??

That is very odd! I have the same setup as you: FX300, Base/Shifter bushings, Front MM, and I'm at about 10k miles of abusive driving (Launch, WOT, Downshift, Repeat) and have about 380wtq DJ. It literally took me a entire evening to get the clutch adjusted properly.
What actually ended up working best for me was using the FSM method of clutch adjustment. I cannot remember the exact spec on pedal play...

I don't understand how you ran out of adjustment.... did you use a OEM or supplied TOB?

If you did follow the break-in procedure 100%, that could be the cause of your chatter... Kevlar is very particular about how it is broken in.
Do you know how much material was removed from the flywheel?

I am pretty sure the oem tob was used. I did not do the install a local guy did but the oem was supplied. I also am not sure how much was taken off the flywheel other than it was resurfaced.

I like the clutch other than this annoying issue. I have no issues banging gears when its adjusted correctly but it still drags when on the 2 step then.

I can tolerate the chattering/shuttering. The dragging is what has me particularly concerned.

Do you know if the flywheel or pressure plate were warped could this cause it do drag at higher rpms? From what I could gather if something was warped I would get grinding when going into gear which I never have??

Yeah I am really at a loss.

I have a fx300 too.

I have blox front roller stopper, no pill, restrictor gone, shifter bushings base bushings and a short shifter.

Resurfaced the fly wheel and i put it in myself. First gear is very jerky if I dont let it slip right.

Also a built transmission went in with it and the shop blames that this clutch ****ed up my 5th gear synchro for dragging at high rpm then again ive heard full face clutches do this.

It was a adjusted properly but i think i need to readjust by doing a 1st gear high rpm to see if it drags.

Its good, holds good pwoer and will last a long time but my next clutch will be an rps full face organic or 6 puck...

Just a little update....

I bled he clutch again today and everything seemed pretty good afterwards. Took the car for a little drive and towards the end of the drive it was locking out at times and it seemed the adjustment moved around.

Is it possible I may have not bled out all the air?? I bled about 10 fl oz through the system. Have a speed bleeder installed to make it easy. The other time I bled 32 fl oz. It seems to just be fluid coming out when bleeding it (no bubbles).

unless you purchased a OEM TB to put in with the kit, it came with the companies generic TB replacement.

LOL I was thinking about getting the same clutch. Honestly Ive done a butt load of reading and your the first person with problems. Sounds like could have had problems with installer though..... Hope things get resolved so you can beat the **** out of this clutch and give me feedback.

Yeah I dont know... I did a lot of research before purchasing this clutch and everything I read was great. I dont know what the deal with mine is but I am completely fed up with it.
