Evo 9 GSR & TTR Built 2.3L Oil Consumption
It's definitely still eating oil, 90 miles in after last tap off and I'm down 3/8th's of quart. The funny part is that it's eating about the same amount of oil on Buschur's motor as it did on TTR, so it has to be something else.
It's not dripping anywhere, under the car is spotless and clean, checked the FMIC and it's clean, so it has to be somewhere inside the engine?
I'm getting closer to taking my losses and getting rid of this car.

you mentioned something when you had the head checked out about something being amist.. what didnt you want to say?
How did the valve seals look? If you truely do not have any leaks, you must be burning the oil or pushing it out. How does your catch can look?

I didn't split the engine so I don't know how the seals looked, but when looking at engine or exhaust ports and valve stems they looked spotless without any oil residue on them. I don't have a catch can on ATM, but I have one that I can put in.
Buschur should be figuring this out for you. I've heard built 2.3's willl burn oil regardless. Im assuming you've switched around to heavier weight oils? I only run 15-x oil in my built 2.0 it has no problems.
At this point I'm trying everything that I can think of or read it on the forums. I've tried different oils, for break in Buschur suggested Brad-Penn 20w50 and that's what I've been running, I have gallons of other oils left that I tried on the TTR engine (which shown exactly the same oil consumption pattern as this one). Valvoline Dino 20w50, Valvoline VR1 20w50, Brad-Penn 20w50 and Amsoil Dominator 20w50 (Dominator I haven't tired yet nor VR1 as both are fully synthetic).
I keep seeing a rather big puff of black smoke, though I'm not too certain of the color as the previous owner was smart enough to put almost pitch black tint on the rear windows, but there is more smoke than I'd like to see.
I have a track day coming up this Friday that I think on attending but only hyperdrive as I'm not too certain about my cars reliability to be able to run the whole day, maybe it just needs a beating to wake up

Sent a PM to David Buschur about this thread, maybe he'll reply.
I'll reply here instead of the PM, since you directed me here.
Reading all that you are writing it seems it's not using oil, it's magically disapearing! The only thing I don't see that you've addressed is the turbo itself.

That's exactly what I'm thinking too. I did get and replaced a used Evo 9 Turbo that basically looked brand new (owner said he removed it after 1k/miles and went big turbo, so I got o2, exhaust mani and Evo 9 Turbo), had very little side play and none in-out.

After removing the spark plugs and shining light into the cylinders, my piston tops look very much like this one:

This is only after about 1300 miles on the engine, they look greasy and sludgy.

Shot some videos.
Video 1: This is a cold start, car hasn't been started for the whole day. There are some black droplets but their texture is more water than oil, probably combined with residue from the exhaust, they look nasty.
Video 2: The first acceleration is in the 3rd gear, right after letting it idle for few minutes and it's about 2500rpm to 5k/rpm (it does look rich), second quick one is also in 3rd but it's not even up to 5k/rpm. The 3rd pull down hill is 1,2,3 up to 6.5k/rpm and then on the way back up the hill I'm starting in 3rd and let it rip through the whole 3rd and then some 4th.

Shes plenty rich! But I see no blue smoke really...
.5 a quart in 90 miles is a huge amount, it should be blowing blue pretty much constantly. I had a head with a crack around the valve guide and it could fill an entire drive through parking lot in a minute or so, and it wasn't using that much in that period of time.

I've got the exact same problem,
new built 2.3l manley stroker + evo9 turbo, and exactly the same amount of oil consumption like yours
i've watch the video and, my exhaust smoke is like yours too, blackish brown gray, and very little blue...
no smoke at idle.
i will be very happy if you can contact me when you find out the problem, i will contact you too if i found the problem.
