You seriously tried to road race an engine that has a severe oil consumption issue? I would be entirely suprised if Buschur does anything for you aside from charging you for a new engine.

Anyway the metal in the head is likely bearing material. It will be in the oil cooler and the turbo as well. Plan on replacing the oil cooler too, else replace the new engine after it's destroyed as well.

This is true, however no need to intentionally cost yourself more money.

Guess you don't have to worry about it anymore. But use a different builder next time.

Since the Motor's relatively new, I'm taking it to Buschurs as they want to inspect it.

My car would barely run if my plugs looked like that. That plug is fouled w/oil.

ya those plugs look horrible. and that white color means it was running very lean also.

tune was def not lean;

but the car always did seem down on HP.

Now I'm in need of a good engine builder, preferably within driving distance of 18610 (Blakeslee, PA) any that can be recommended?

That the engine needs rebuild, spun a rod bearing then mains, valves hit the pistons, one rod shot so needs weight match and line hone the block. Possibly change few valves.

Got the engine from JAM, dropped it in, now at break-in stage. But car doesn't smoke at all! I just hope that it wont consume oil either

Did the Spun Bearings come from lack of oil, due to the huge leak?
Why did the valve hit the piston?

... What I heard is that I could have been burning oil in cylinders, lowering octane level and causing it to knock, be lean and from there you can imagine what the poor bearings must have endured.

Though, I wouldn't mind David to chime in and say what happened after his inspection of the engine, but that's all I know.

Well, it is possible (maybe not on these engines, however...) that when the bearing material destroys itself the rod will pull itself off the crank far enough to make contact at TDC... I had a 12.5:1 Honda engine that while it did not bend valves, clearly stamped the arrow on the piston (for direction on installation...) into the combustion chamber
