Car does not build boost when just revving?

Hey yall...this should be my last question because I almost have everything working great! I dont know if this is a problem or not but when my car is neutral and I rev it up, the car does not build boost? I have the Hallman MBC and Greddy Type S BOV. Also I did the BOV fix and it works great but I can not even hear the BOV after I redline the car out....it just sounds stock. But when I just build a liitle boost it sounds great....why does it not sound like anything at higher RPM's?? Ohh and by the way I have the MB hooked up to the wastegate actuator and the turbo nipple capped off then I have the other side tapped into the bov line to the manifold and I capped off the old boost soleniod. Any help would be great!! Thanks

If what you're trying to do is vent at idle you'll have to rev high and come on and off the accelarator a few times to build up the boost...but yeah. Load will build differently in different gears.

I dunno how the Evos are, but I'm suprised you never noticed your boost climbs more slowly in first gear than on the highway in 4th or 5th.

Evil boost gnomes are obviously at work in your intercooler piping.

heh, a funny observation from the comments

if load = boost, and it does, then the reason behind a srt building boost under no load is because it is a load (of crap).

But really, my 98GST doesnt build boost just revving it, but it is automatic and i can brake torque to 13 psi at the line

Your connections to the MBC sound right. As everyone said already, no load=no boost. You'll never build boost by revving the motor in neutral.

You have your MBC installed the same as I do, so if it's wrong then you're not the only one . Also, regarding sound, are you running the stock air box? If you really want to hear the BOV then switch to an open filter such as the Buschur filter and you'll hear lots of sucking and blowing .

I have the drop in filter....I wish it was a little louder but I can live with how it sounds now.
