Wiseco 2013 Piston Releases
I prefer to run 9:1 motors myself anyway, but if you want a 10:1 motor that technically would be a custom piston. Since they spec the pistons out with a 0.042 gasket (stock) and most of us run a 0.051, there is a drop in compression anyway. 10:1 motors are limited to 20-21psi for the most part anyway from what I have seen...safely on 92.

Gas ports combined with a dry sump means you can run low tension rings to reduce frictional loses while still getting exceptional sealing under high cylinder pressures. Gas ports with standard tension rings lose some of the benefit, but can still improve power by providing better ring seal.
Something I'm curious about though on the gas ports. There are a few threads on speedtalk and guys report the vertical ports will actually fill up with soot in a matter of a handful of drag runs, making them useless very quickly. They also report high ring wear rates though with even just a handful of runs. It basically shows that the ports are doing exactly what they are supposed to, force that ring firmly into the cylinder wall, but it shows they are meant for full out competition drag engines that get tore down after every event.
Anybody run vertical gas ports on a 4G63 have similar experiences?
The horizontal ports on the other hand are reported as being used by road race guys with great results. They also notice higher ring wear rates, but nothing like the vertical port drag guys.

So far (knock on wood) we havent seen any issues with them. No excessive smoke or seeming negatives.
We just build a 2.0 long rod using the -10cc asymmetric pistons off the shlef now, std bore.
The 4 thou PTW clearance was indeed set at the piston skirt for a brand new block

Can the k667m855ap be used on the Evo1-3/Eclipse 7-bolt 2.gen engine?(100 mm crank and 150 mm rods) Reason I ask is because the intake- and exhaustvalves are on the opposite side vs the Evo 4-8.
Thanks

Aaron- So if I wanted to do a 2.2L 4g63, I'd need the 153 rods? How much are those? And then what size piston. 9:1
And this would be a 94mm crank, right?
Thanks,
Fred

Nop they cant be used, I have already got a set , it has opposite orientation for the valve reliefs. The pistons are also not symmetrical thus u cant rotate it.
