mystery in engine bay

Does anyone know what this is? I'll try my best to explain

It's on the drivers side in the engine bay just behind the headlight, It's attached to the frame and shares the wiring harness with the MAF sensor plug. ANYONE? I see I have one but theres nothing connected to it. it has a nipple on it and a broken piece that looked like it to was a nipple. heres a photo

Stock electronic boost controller. Just leave it plugged in even if your running a manual boost controller. If you get a EBC like a grimmspeed then that will connect to the grimmspeed.

Throws a code if you unplug it and car wont run right, so i've heard
