upgrades without a tune

Recently I invested a fair amount into the setup which consists of a custom ram horn manifold, pte 5831, 44mm tial wg, brian crower 272, headgasket and head studs, grimmspeed ebc, injen uicp, custom licp, and injen 3" tbe. I bolted everything on and have been driving the vehicle every weekend (not my dd, just cant NOT drive it). I have not taken the vehicle past 2.5k rpm. My question is, how safe is it to occasionaly drive it with out a tune? Im waiting on rest of the parts to get here, injectors and fuel pump, before I take it to a tuner. Ever so often I get a urge to step on it but have to remind my self not to mess with it. Could I try a mbc and turn it all the way down just to be on the safe side?

Once you put those injectors in I wouldn't even start it. you'll wash the oil off the cylinder walls with all the fuel. then you'll have a real issue. idk if it will even start for that matter. but if it does that could be worse. put the stuff in and then trailer it to wherever it's getting tuned. just leave it alone for now.

I know exactly how you are feeling. Resist the urge! You could be wearing things out that you won't notice right away until you put it all together and strap it to the dyno. Just be patient and wait till its 100% you will thank yourself later... I know this from experience...

Do NOT go into boost with the grimmspeed 3-port installed but not tuned. you will overboost by quite a lot.

What size injectors are you getting? I wouldn't drive on upgraded injectors without having at least a base scaling for them.

Precision 1000cc's with the walbro 255, tune is going to be on e85. So basicly driving it now, normal operating rpm, could be damaging parts. Ill let it sit til everything gets here

Fyi. You guys might like my wastegate atmosphere dump thru the hood vent, with a tractor exhaust style rain cap .. will post pictures soon

You could go past 2.5k rpm & just drive it normally, as long as you don't exceed 0 boost :]

1100 cc fics are good for 491 whp on e85. All up to your goals. I think with the upgrades you have you can drive it as long as you don't boost it. All the guys here have left some very good points. Oh and if you do go with bigger injectors go ahead and just get some 2000s or 2150s lol. Or you will end up like me and spending way more than necessary to keep upgrading my fuel system for more power. Finally got a double pumper and currently running 1450s. I'm sure I'll sell these in a few months like I did my 770s and 1100s.

You'll be fine, just take it easy and properly set up the scaling and latencies( maybe lean out the "cruise" areas to prevent overly rich conditions). I noticed you didn't post a wide-band on your mod list, it would be an important tool to add.
