Best oil to run with an FP Red?

Hey guys,

Im sure this has been covered before, but all the threads ive found have been from a few years ago. I was hoping to get some updated info..

Just got an FP red turbo setup that im going to be putting on in a few weeks. I was curious what oil would work best with this, as i've heard to avoid oils such as Royal Purple (which i run now) and lean on an oil with high zinc content.

What do you all suggest?

This is on fp's website. I use brad penn 20-50 year round. Check fp's website they may let you use another oil to keep the turbo under warranty

Before I got my red I seriously did research for a month on what oil to run. I decided to go with Amsoil 10w-40. Very high zinc content. I've run it on my fp red for over 2 years now without a single problem. I would highly highly suggest you lean towards that.

Try Rotella T6 synthetic 5w40. Great oil and very affordable. Plus they available at almost every Walmart.

I'm trying out the Rotella T6 in my car now but I'm only stock turbo. Heres a oil report I found from someone else with an EVO recently, looks pretty solid.

I'm running fp 71 hta with Rotella. Seems to be a solid oil. Subie guys love it. I see great oil analysis with it, too. It has high zinc content.
