So whats the best way to go on the hg for the 2.1 4g64, is the bored out evo 9 hg the best out there? I was looking at the tomei head gasket but didnt find much info in the search button. My goal is to be in the 700-800awhp range so would it be better to o ring the block or the head? Or no o ring?

My 2.4 standard rod. No orings. 625+ studs. I used a SCE copper head gasket with a built in SS o-ring into it. Held 908 awhp at 43 psi till coil went out and damaged the head gasket for 6k miles.

Hey Team, I have a 4G64 GDI Motor out of a Charriot (JDM 4G64 Engine), I know I can use a Stock Crank, and 156mm length Rods for a 2.1 Build, but I cannot find what pistons I can use? Anyone know what pistons I can run? The factory bore size is 87mm. Anyone know exactly what pistons I can run? Even a link would be good

Run GSC race shaft and delete the balance shafts... Save yourself trouble in the long run... Also get a fluidamper pulley highly recommend it

You realize those balance shafts are a bunch of bull**** right? There has been no technical info saying they are better then a stubby. At least not that I have seen. I am sure people will say oh well its right here. Personally I have never seen a pump fail with a stubby shaft in it without a fancy pos cut up one. I have seen pumps fail being people reuse them and do not put new gears into them from wear. But I do agree on the fluidamper

I personally think it helps in better support at the gear of the oil pump in comparison of a stubby shaft this is something you cannot technically prove through driving etc... but to enhance longevity. But I agree with you as well in terms of one not being better than the other..
