transfer case help!!!

Hey there fellow evo lovers! I am in the process of dropping both my tranny and tcase. I have the tcase 100% free and have it resting on a Jack stand. I have the tail stock off and fully seperated from the tranny. I have the car on Jack stand and can't fully get a full size pry bar In there to rock the motor forward. I believe the only place is catching is lip hitting the oil pan and the piece in the back (tail stock is removed) any solutions or anyone in the Indy/ohio area willing to lend a hand!

I removed all the mounts that hold the tranny on so I believe that would be the front and rear if I'm not mistaking

Can get the rear of the car up higher than the front causing the engine to go forward in the engine bay

I'm doing it all on jack stands so I don't know how much I could truly get the rear up with the front staying at a manage able height to get underneath the car and keep wiggling

does the motor move back and forth freely? it should swing a few inches either way if the front and rear mounts are removed. And dont forget drop the sub frame down, this was a must for me to clear the oil pan.

I just put my non acd Tcase in and it was quite Easy compared to the ACD tcase, i did still have to move the motor and trans forward about an inch, but my subframe was dropped down past the bolt in the wheel well.

I will give lowering the sub frame a shot. I was told lowering it will mess up the entire alignment of the car so I was hesitant on doing so lol.... for anyone who wants to come help with these amazing festivities I have ice cold beer and will provide food :-D

Your going to have to have a alignment done anyway after you have taken off the Coil over bolts to the Spindle.
Just torque it all back to spec when finished including the Tcase bolts, That aluminum thread tears easily on the trans.

I'm pretty sure you can't get the tranny free from the engine because you haven't released the throw out bearing.

I just did this. Get a small crowbar and that should work to rock the motor.

So after I double check and make sure all mounts are loose from the trans and motor, I lower the sub frame a little on both sides, get a pry bar and start wrenching forward and that little guy should come right out
