Cam decision help

Hey guys
I have a 03 Evo 8 with bolt ons
catless tbe, licp, intake, evo 9 bov, walbro 255, gm 3 port and a tune
Im planning to install evo 9 turbo, bigger injectors and cams
im looking at the hks 280 and gsc s1 as they don't require upgraded valve spring/retainers/seat.
I've read that they are both great for stock turbo
I was wondering which would be the best set of cams for my setup, just looking to get the most out of the evo 9 turbo as i most likely won't upgrade the turbo.
thanks for the input

I think I have read that some guys run the 272 kelfords with stock springs and retainers, but I think they would probably be better with changing them though. I say gsc s1's.

The MOST popular cams for evo8 are Kelford 272 and GSC S2, do the springs!

When I had my 8 I first did Comp cams 272 with new springs and retainers, when I went bigger turbo I replaced them with Kelford 272 and didn't look back. The high rpm pull is amazing!

Do you have a 9.8 or 10.5 hotside turbo? I don't think that the difference between 8-9 turbos is significant enough, either upgrade to larger than stock or stick with the 8's.
GSC S1 & Kelford 272 are both good choices, I won't go past 272 sized cams with a stock turbo.

I loved my s1's on stock turbo. Increased power over the entire powerband

I went tomei 270 procams on my evo 8. If I had to do it again......I would. With Just the change in cams, I went from 314whp to 349whp UNTUNED!!! Once tuned, it did 363whp/ 364tq @25psi 93oct on a Mustang dyno. Obviously with the amount of lift, I had to also get valve Springs and retainers. I still had the stock short block and stock injectors.
