Low Compression

So I did a compression check on the car today. I got 1-120,2-90,3-60,4-120. Wtf.... Car seems to run fine.

was it a cold test or hot test? did you put some oil in the cylinders that were low and retest?

It was a cold test. And when I put oil in it, it went up but not that much

What gave you the nudge to have compression tested?

When it would start it would sound like it was only running on a couple cylinders until it warmed up then it would sound normal. So I just decided to check for the hell of it

If repeated tests still gave you the numbers above, you have 2 choices:
-Run it as it until it can't drive any more.
or
-Take it apart and hope for a cheap fix (like a new set of rings or a head gasket).

2 low comp readings in adjacent cylinders not much affected by adding oil - could be headgasket. Has it had a hard life? Why not do a hot test also?

I ran into something similiar recently and it ended up being a broken valve spring that prevented the valves from sealing. But it was only 1 cylinder that was low. maybe worth taking out ur valve cover first before removing the head.
