Well, I don't claim to be able to see the future. I imagine I will try to pop it in the conventional fashion but failing that will have to unbolt the clutch housing from the flywheel.

I'd suggest the knowledge to obtain here is - if using a monoloc, install it in the clutch housing once, check that it will receive the throwout bearing once and then hands off until in the car. Playing with it makes it not want to release.

Wow, the response and feedback for the Monoloc has been great! Thanks for sharing your experiences. We are also soon to release one to fit the EVO-X stock clutch (only slightly different).

Why do I have to find this now. I ordered my HDSS clutch kit and lightened flywheel back in Feb this year, and had it installed by VIVIDRACING. Dang it!!! Hook me up ACT!!!

We also had you in mind! Give us a call and speak to Michael to see about getting a special deal for the recent purchase of an ACT clutch. Proof of purchase required.

can these be reused over and over again when a clutch fails? or do they need to be replaced.

I won't promise they last forever, but yes they should be able to be reused. I recommend inspecting for wear or cracks prior to reassembly.

Oh man, good to know. Wish I didn't just put my new clutch in a few months ago without this! I remember getting the stock 2 piece collar apart, that was a pain in the ***!
