What fuel pump can I use on evo8 going for 500+ don't have money for a double pumper so please give me advise thanks as in fuel system wanting to go e85 in the near future

 

what turbo are you planning on using? I'm sure you can hit 500 with just a single walbro 255

Modded 255s have been said to make it. Never personally seen it... But its what they say. A 450lph walbro will happily do it... Its been my experience then tend to tear the pump grommet. 3 times on mine and once each on 3 local car but it could be our fuel...

I modded my fuel pump housing to except a 450 like double pumper with a single pump... If that makes any sense...

 

What did you do to the housing if you don't mind sharing some secrets lol I heard those 400s are horrible and is there anything special I would have to do to wiring electrical for the 450

 

To avoid installing a double pumper upgrade your fuel line to something like a -6AN or -8AN. It will put less stress on the fuel pump by lowering fuel pressure at higher RPM and will in turn supply more fuel.

 

I have a walbro 450 (Made for e85) set up with your name on it. Its already in the modded stock housing. All you have to do is bolt it up. The pump is next to new. Only purchased it two weeks ago.

Much cheaper than the double pumper and it will get you 500hp easily.

The previous owner of my car said that they had pump issues with a Walboro 400 making 550whp on E85.From the research I did I found that 500 or so is the max for that pump on E85. The Walboro 416 or double paper is your best option IMO.
I am going to go - 6an line and 2 255 Walbros to be safe. I know it s a bit excessive for 500+whp but I don't want to have any issues.
