I have done a lot of research, but still have a question. I have an 05 evo 8 MR. The light flickers on idle when reaching operating temperatures. I can bring the car off idle roughly 100 rpms and it goes off. The previous car's owner blew the motor, and the dealer installed a brand new block. I have been noticing maybe a half quart being burned in between changes, assuming its due to the motor. I have a small leak coming from around the oil cooler lines. Maybe a drop over night. Idles right around 800 and I've researched to find if idle is under a 1000 it can trip the light. Any ideas other than the switch ? which is what I am leaning towards as everything else is brand new, aka has the Mitsu stickers still on them.
