Engine Oil Pressure Warning

Has anyone ever had this issue? Only at idle 900-1000 rpm after it is warmed up the oil pressure light will flicker on/off. The car does have 264 cam's and with every lope of the engine the light will pop on then off.

Is this common on a camed motor? Or should I be worried about bearing clearance?

Thanks

first off make sure your oil level is full, if its low under the minimum mark that could be why. Also make sure where your oil filter housing is, there should be a plug nearby that monitors the oil pressure, make sure you have no oil leaks from those areas as well.. start with those then report back cuz its not good for that light to come on.

Any update on this? Sounds like a bad sensor (would be better news) but prob low oil pressure from some worn bearings or something...

Check your oil level first. It it is full check the sensor. It may be broken, have a bad connection, faulty in some way, etc. I've had this problem before and the sensor was cracked.

replacing the oil sending unit (oil press sensor) fixed it just fine.
