Well im tuned on 91 oct at 26 psi on my stock IX turbo. Last night I installed a LICP as well as a muse o2 dump. Anyways, afte rlast night I did a few pulls and notice I only peak at 23 psi now. I was thinking maybe since the wastegate is dumped now that since that might be causing better flow of the wastegate gases that boost might not be spiking at much. ( I have a Grimmspeed 3 port EBCS by the way) I just hope its not a boost leak. Any ideas?

 

Possibly increased the VE of the engine with the mods giving you lower boost. Boost is pressure generated between the turbo and the engine as a function of how much air the engine can flow. If you are tuned on a given WGDC% then increase the amount of air that the engine can flow, the turbo cannot pressurize it to the same level anymore.

 

you may want to hold off on the "pulls" until you get that thing tuned--those are some pretty big changes and your only seeing one portion of the results in the psi. I'll bet your a lot leaner as well.

 

Did you install the housing using the stock gasket? Because that's a big no no
