ACD Tuning still around?
I still don't have my pump back from ACD Tuning. I have not heard anything back from the BBB either. I seriously doubt anyone is gonna do anything. I through waiting. I wanted a pump back in my car. So I bought a brand new one from Mitsubishi for $1423. It's what I should have done in the first place. I guess this whole experience is what I get for trying to save a fee bucks. I feel much better having a brand new one though and not some rebuilt piece of junk from ACD Tuning. I was gonna order a stainless steel pump plate for $100 from ACD Overhauling and call it a day but now I've decided that there's no way I'm putting my shiny new pump back in the original location. I'd just be setting the car up for failure once again. So I've decided to do a pump relocation to the trunk! So far, so good.

Damn, it sucks to hear you had to shell out that much for a acd pump. Those suckers are pricey.
Fwiw, I relocated my pump to the trunk and no issues at all. I haven't tracked it to measure the temps, but as far as daily driving, the pump doesn't really run a whole lot. Just by touch the pump is still usually somewhat cool, not even really warm at all. I remember reading on here folks saying it might be an issue in the trunk since no airflow is going through it, but so far it doesn't really seem to need it.
Good. I would still like my pump back and my refurbished electric motor. I shipped mine with the bracket it mounts on, metal lines and wiring pigtail like he said to. Did you know that all of those parts were an additional $425 on top of the pump price? Also, I have been to 4 different places around Chicago to have the custom hoses made up so that I can relocate my pump to the trunk and nobody has the metric male fittings. I'm trying one last place Bristol Hose and Fitting on 1 west lake street in North Lake, Illinois and then I'm putting it back in the stock location. Autotorque out of the U.K. that makes a special relocation kit wants $805 for the kit and that's outrageous.
I am looking for the female fittings on the end of the rubber hoses as well. I bought the factory lines and hoses with the fittings from Mitsubishi. I'm gonna try to have this place reuse the male fittings on custom short metal lines and then splice in hose extensions to the rubber hoses with whatever fittings they do have.
Not sure what female ends your talking about, the resi rubber lines? But if you got the factory lines you can cut the ends off for the fittings for the pump end. Then on the tcase end switch it over to AN flare and run a small section of braided hose and pick up the AN banjo fitting to go on top of the case.

I see the appeal of moving the pump to the trunk as I too live in Chicago. I just sealed my pump up after I rebuilt it with silicone at all the mating surfaces and it keeps all the snow and salt outta there. Just saying, $5 tube of silicone vs $500 hose.
It was $620 for 3 hoses and all the different fittings and custom bent hard lines and labor. I ended up having them cut the original hard lines so they could use the Mitsubishi fittings. The pump will not only stay much cleaner inside the trunk but it should also be a little warmer and also safer from crashes.
