For low 3xxwhp you really can get away with the stock injectors. Plus if you're running the stock cat on CA91, you're not going to be making much more power than that anyway... I've got a slightly better cat with similar mods and am totally knock limited at just over 300whp.

Anyone try the 80 lb/hr (8xx cc/min) Siemens Deka EV1 injectors that are available on the interwebs? Cost is very low if you shop around a little. It appears there might be a drop in fitment with a jumper harness.

I'd really like to take advantage of a better atomizing mid-flowrate injector if it'd offer any performance and economy gains. CA91 is such a turd to try and make power on I'd hope improved mixture prep would help. Not sure if dual spray pattern injectors would be a benefit either.

After thinking about it more I went ahead and ordered the FIC 1120 low z injectors from MAP. I do have plans to upgrade to bigger turbo anyhow.

Don't be concerned, FIC1120 and Bosch/ID1000, FIC1100 idle no different and return no different driving characteristics than factory when setup correctly.

So I decided to go with the FIC 1120cc low z injectors. Idle is really good and I now have plenty of injector as well when/if I go the E85 route. Final numbers 314 hp/ 320 ft lbs at 23.5 psi on 91 octane.

updated on last page.

I hadn't seen this thread until now and there are already some very knowledgeable posting here which is great.

Our high impedance injectors are the newest generation EV14 line, which offer the best performance and are going to offer some benefits over any older injector design, whether high or low impedance. The biggest benefit is in their stability down at very short pulse widths which will allow for a very nice idle and light throttle behavior. The benefits become greater in larger injectors so as your fueling requirements increase, moving to this style injector becomes more and more beneficial.

Our low impedance injectors are also very popular as most of you know and they do a great job in most applications. As mentioned above, as your injector size increases, tuning for very short pulse widths can become more challenging and you do reach a point where the benefits of the newer generation high impedance injectors we offer really do shine.
Customer feedback seems that going as big as our 1120 or 1250cc low impedance injectors is fine for pretty much everyone. When going with a larger size low impedance injector it will depend on factors like your ECU, grounds, tuning, and more as to the success of your results with them.

Hope that helps provide some more info and if anyone ever has any questions about injectors feel free to give us a call at (561) 427-0082.

i recently made 321whp on a mustang dyno with stock injectors in my 03.i am unsure of the IDC but the tuner said he could push them a little further if i installed the evo 9 turbo.
i just ordered the evo 9 turbo, gsc s1 cams, a dump 02 housing and i was stuck on what injectors to go with. i ended up picking up a set of FIC 850cc low z's. my goal is to hit 380-400whp on a mustang. think i under shot it with the injectors or will the 850's be ok??

Go with the FIC1100s or the FIC1050sp injectors. They are superior to the low-Z injectors in short pulse width accuracy, at least in my experience.
