ETS external wastegate in conjunction with stock internal?

Has anyone run the turbosmart external wastegate setup inconjuction and the stock internal with the MA performance 02 delete downpipe? Looking for feedback because im tempted to give it a shot. supposedly has a good balance that doesnt sacrifice spool like most external wastegates while keep boost throughout powerband?

Works great, from my logs, keeping the OEM wastegate closed is worth about 400rpm spool time over leaving the flapper loose.

This is what I'm running on my fpBlack:

I've routed my boost controller lines so the OEM gate opens at wastegate pressure, and my boost controller is controlling the external gate.

OEM gate stays closed during spoolup, then opens fully and the External gate takes over.

I do see about a 2psi spike using my mechanical controller. My -guess- is that using a 3-port to control boost would eliminate the spike.

That TurboSmart in-series remote gate is a big waste of money IMO. They should call it TurboDumb. Spend your money on something else. Rent a motel room and get laid instead.

i dont need or have ever spent money to get laid im a combat vet Marine lol. whats so garbage about turbosmart, before i believe someones opinion i need some facts or proof? i had someone tell me bolt up turbos are no good and the green red and black turbos are some the best on the market so you see what im saying... and im going with an external wastegate so instead can i get an alterior wastegate option? lol. also its the stock turbo on it right now but im gonn be going with the greenside by FP, told by many its the best street turbo with its quick spool for the 400-500whp range. what wastegate would you suggest Tial? i had it on my last one but i got the trbosmart dual port BOV i think theyd work good inconjunction but i could be wrong remember my goal is 400-500whp range not 500+ drag

Says the guy running a Vishnu XEDE

j/k

I don't have the boost-taper challenges that most have while only using the OEM wastegate. That being said, sparky's right, it is a lot of money to invest just to keep that extra couple of psi out the top. On the other hand - I just made 568hp on straight 92 octane. That's pretty respectable for the fpBlack.

What did that setup cost you? I'm interested in going that route to get better boost control.
