To me that is just too long. I get the whole moving froward and new design but 3 months for a turbo seems really slow. My tuner was told 4 weeks so maybe you should call?

I call like clockwork every week and half. I ordered through English and they are wondering the same thing what's causing this extreme backlog for this and all their other turbos. My engine builder, different shop cross-town of FP is facing the same backlog.

Just curious, what is so much better about this new housing vs http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=VEVO . Besides one isnt a garrett turbo the other will be mitsubishi.

I'm getting the SS housing tomorrow, and I was thinking on doing that to the manifold... Any suggestions or opinions....

Apologies if I've missed it, I've been looking through the thread to try and ascertain if people who ordered an internally gated proper twin scroll EVO9 Green mid December and their turbo still hasn't been built/sent are going to end up getting this new stainless housing? I am assuming not, as while I'm not sure about in the US but here that would be pretty much criminal - in saying that, the wait is getting up to 3 months now as well.... which is already shocking.

Until we are all informed of additional information about the SS housing characteristics, it's not possible to guess what it's performance will be compared to the present TS housing. We'll just have to wait and see the logs when Michael posts them.
As far as the difference goes, people have been complaining for years that an external gate housing was not available. Well, here it is, and now people are concerned they can't get their Mitsu internal housing…. I expect that there's a way to machine yours still, just like there has been in the past. But, for new complete turbos, if the comments above are correct and there are no more Mitsu housings to be had, then FP was smart to engineer an alternative, or they would not be able to supply any Greens, Reds, or Blacks. The other turbo suppliers better have a plan, because if they can't source a Mitsu turbine housing, they won't be able to sell any stock type turbos at all...

The housing comes with the undivided gasket for extra 15 $, its just the outer perimeter of the inner portion.... I don't know if you have seen Mikeys Evo thread, there you can see the Toxicfab manifold with the division deleted, and the junction of the runners inside the manifold being more like a pointy thing... I just got a stock placement tubular manifold so I will see what I can do if it may improve or not...
