2 muffler catback?
After looking at this thread:

I thought for my set-up I can't do away with the cat. So why not try to add a second muffler(small diameter round obviously) to the catback. Now I don't know how to fabricate so this might not be possible, but if one can add say a small Burns or magnaflow round muffler next to the driveshaft that should work right? Fabricators please chime in. Or better yet if you have had a similar set up made, do it work on quieting down the exhaust.

It can be done; I've done it-- I have two mufflers between the cat and axle-back. The mufflers need to be pretty small and the one I have right after the cat needed to be angled down a bit to clear the driveshaft.
Did it work on quieting down the exhaust note? What mufflers did you use?
It definitely did but it'll be hard to compare to other systems. I did a custom aluminum cat-back with a v-banded axle-back-- two mufflers between the cat and axle-back, then a third for the axle-back. This was without a cat. Since I did aluminum, I went with two aluminum Vibrant Race Mufflers, part no 12900.
