no boost ???

so my stock exhaust mani had a wicked crack in it so i bought a cheap ebay header for the summer. i dropped the downpipe undid the oil lines and dropped the turbo enough to take the old manifold off. i put the new one one and had to shorten one of the studs on the hotside so i could get a bolt on it. i pulled the turbo and cut it and put every thing back together. so i still have a small leak that i need to tackle but im not getting anymore then 2 maybe 3 psi if i really get on it. the car runs just fine im just not getting any boost. does anyone have any ideas for me. thanks in advance

try something other than the ebay manifold and see if the problem still occurs

I would check the gasket on the manifold also on the exhaust side of the turbo where it bolts up to the o2 housing .

When I had a leak between the turbo and manifold, the gasket was literally destroyed. It gets very hot right there. Replace it with an oem metal gasket. Check the flange on the ebay manifold too, if it isn't flush, it wont seal worth a sh*t.

...and yeah, a few people have had alright luck with the ebay manifold but there is a long list of people that have cracked those manifolds within months. $50-100 for an oem one, have that ported by a good shop and run that.
