Clutch Kit or just Clutch Disc?

I have a ACT Heavy Duty SSD and it has about 50k miles on it and will need a replacement soon. Is it recommended to get the kit again(which is like $730) or can I just get a Clutch Disk?

If I was able to get 50k miles out of a clutch and that same company recommended that I get a new clutch kit, guess what I would get a new clutch instead of just getting dics. 50k miles is a lot and I wouldn't want to reuse anything with that much milage and wear/tear on it. It's better to do it right the first time.

Get the whole kit. Don't reuse anything.

Just out of curiosity does the pressure plate or other items besides the clutch disk get worn down?

flywheel can probably be machined. Pressure area can be machined too, they just have to go to a shop that knows how to take them apart...

I would recommend a new clutch kit. Re-using old parts is never a good idea.
We are currently running a sale on clutch kits.

PM me for pricing

If it was a twin-disc I would get the discs. But since it is a single, i would just get the kit

My ACT clutch just went bad with less than 10000 miles on it. No racing and just daily and highway driving....get a different brand!

I got about 50k miles(not slipping yet from wot) on mine with drag passes and an autocross event. Act did me pretty well, sorry to hear your's went out at 10k. But sounds like getting a whole new kit is the way to go.

Yes the pressure plate and flywheel both get worn as well with the disk. The flywheel can usually be resurfaced as long as it's within spec. Everything else is not designed to be machined or reused.
