Lightbulb Do I need a tune for an open downpipe?

I have looked and theres no definitive answer on whether or not I need a tune if I remove my exhaust after the downpipe. So again do I need a tune or will it run healthy without it? Are there things I need to know or look out for when doing this and after I have the exhaust off?

My current modifications:
Injen intake
Injen uicp
hks ssqv (atmospheric, looking to recirculate though)
Apexi cbe
Hks electronic boost controller

I appreciate the answers. If I missed the thread where it gives me the answers to these questions then im sorry and that's my fault, don't ride me for it.

Thanks guys

Its stupid to run your car with out a down pipe.

Reason....cars can throw out fireballs.....your fuel line runs near that area.....

You could end up being BBQ

1+ It is a bad idea to not run a downpipe.

If you run a side pipe like some of those muscle cars then you need a tune either way.

I meant open down pipe....still it could shoot fireballs and you can easily burn your car up.

Seen cars do it and it hasnt affected tune at the track. Most guys do it to lose weight here but its stupid because you can burn up your car.

Yeah I removed it yesterday and it's louder than my girlfriend. With the windows up and pulling, it literally vibrates the entire car. It sounds mean but the cat back it going back on hahaha. Good experiment though thanks for the help. And yeah I would never run no downpipe!
