questions:

1) what kind of oil/filter are you using and what are your oil change intervals?

2) how long was it between when you first started the car and when it lost power?

just curious... as some were saying...the possiblity of having a turbo fail isn't all non-existant. with the volume that these cars are being produced in...a failure rate of 0.1% isn't all that bad a number...but would easily account for a good 30 cars at least already. but yea...be happy the dealer isnt giving you any trouble...and enjoy the new turbo =)

1) factory filter/5w30 Mobil 1/ oil had 2500 miles on it
2)15 minutes or so... but had been running earlier. temps definitely were already up...

Oil pressure and oil temp gauges may have provided some warning. I think these are worth their weight in gold, especially on a turbo'd car.
As others said, make sure they check the turbo oil lines for blockage, and replace them if there's any question. New lines are relatively cheap insurance.
