A good 10W-40 synthetic should be fine for you if the engine is in good internal condition.

Mobil 1 10w-40 is what I use. And we reach 98-103 degrees where I'm at in the summer.

Most important is to use a 'fully' synthetic oil. 5w-40 would be a good option for a hot climate. I'm currently using Castrol Edge. Other good oils I think available in your area are Liqui Moly & Motul.

Brad Penn is what I typically use. FP did a nice write-up on engine oil...search google for "forced performance oil evo brad penn" and it will be the very first link (pdf).

FP's oil list is for the proprietary bearing design in their Journal Bearing Stock Framed Turbos ONLY. If you do not have one of them the list means absolutely nothing.

Not to say you can't use an oil off the list but it is 100% not needed

Good catch. Many of us have JB turbos so I just figured it would still apply and be a nice reference when choosing a safe oil.

I would still only use oil on that list with a BB turbo. Oil in a ball bearing turbo still sees an immense amount of heat and pressure..
