er what? At 25psi?

My motor is stock block, mostly stock from all those bits - ie no catch can, no vta bov, etc. Just stock routing for everything. Have had no pressure issues, the block is relatively new actually, maybe 5k miles on it? Can't remember.

The only time I've had oil in my IC piping is when my HKS 7460 GT2 blew its oil seals. That was a fawkin nightmare.

potential issues aside, that looks like a great powerband. 25.8psi max boost, am I reading that right? What were your other mods? Looks like you would have continued making meaningful power for another 500-700rpms. I'm running to around 8200rpms, but that's mostly just if I need to stretch a gear, I don't make any meaningful power above 6500, sometimes I short shift if I don't need to stretch the gear. Thinking with this turbo, I will. Mod list a few posts ago, but S2s should pair nicely with this turbo.

Holy hell. Makes me reconsider the red I have.
That's a lot of power from that guy!

hard to believe actually, even my tuner was scratching his head. maybe its good power stops climbing after 6000? hopefully the rebuilt turbo works as well, for some reason this old one always performed better

Yea, I am too. That's wild! It is clearly seeing the limits of its size above 6k but thats a pretty wild graph for such a small turbo.
Hopefully the new one works as well! If this is what people can expect from the 71, its going to be tough to recommend a green for sure and maybe a red.

I mean, my red only makes 580/510 with a fair bit more lag than that.

Mustang Dyno? so 400 * 1.13 = 452HP

I have a 2.2l now. anyway, every time I get a new build and tune 3rd+ gear pulls always felt strong than before, but I didnt feel much difference in lower gears. This time I do. One time after slowly going over a street hump, I went WOT and it spun 4 wheels. Those RE71RS were old but not passed the wear markers. Could have been a fluke, since it has a rev hang sometimes

what does it say on the dynosheet? My earlier dynosheet showed 400 as well and a Mustang Dyno was used. that was before artec, IC, bov, wastegate actuator, PCV system 'uprades'. I got 470-490hp when I started getting on a Dynojet "standard dyno"

He was posting "Dynojet" numbers, for an apples-to-apples comparison.

yea those were also dynojet numbers from me, but at 25psi and we're not really chasing peak power.
