same here, but it does me not good at the track. LOL

Buttonwillow = approx 120mi
Laguna Seca = 156mi
Thunder Hill = 264mi
Willow Springs = 181mi
Infineon Raceway = 207mi.

i once... ONCE transported 25gal of e85 and 5gal of 91 to Willow Springs. i did not enjoy driving a ticking time bomb LOL

i had to calculate how much pump gas i needed to get just short of Willow... then have e85 to get me the rest of the way, the event... then figure out how far i could go on the rest.. then have 5gal of 91 to get me to the next gas station.
it was ridiculously complicated, which is why i do not use e85. well, that and the inconsistency... and the goop some people get in their injectors that blow motors.
and i sure has hell don't need e85 to cruise around town at 10mpg

LOL

Why does transporting fuel make you uneasy? I drive to the track with 40 gallons of E85 in the back of my truck. I used to keep roughly that much in my garage before the station a mile from me opened up

on my last turbo, i ran out of fuel right around 460-470 or so (i forget the exact number). i'll keep it at 450whp to be safe, not that i'll make that much at the boost i keep this turbo at (i'll never go higher than 27psi). keep in mind my cams are super mild and my only upgrades are FMIC, LICP, TBE, and a cone air filter. everything else is still stock from the air intake/MAF to the rest of the IC piping.

after the e85 tune, i'll evaluate if i want to keep it. i prefer pump gas, to be honest, and if i stick with pump, i'll go to a smaller injector as i don't like how these idle.
I'm considering this turbo and also have mild cams and similar mods. Debating whether to upgrade the HKS 264 cams to GSC S1 or S2 cams and running E85 on this turbo. I plan on doing head studs and replacing my timing belt so this would be the time to do the cams. Just concerned about too much torque on the stock block if I run the bigger cams and E85 on this turbo.

I'm currently tuning a Evo 8 with this turbo on E85, wally 255 and RC1200cc injectors.

At 480whp VD:

6500 rpm: 26.6psi, 12.1 AFR, 91% IDC
7000 rpm: 26.4psi, 12.1 AFR, 94% IDC
7500 rpm: 26.2psi, 12.1 AFR, 96% IDC

Do you have a dyno chart and list of other mods?

S1s are a great cam, IMO. The S2 is probably better if you are after peak WHP numbers. I was going to do the S1, but the S2 seem to be more cost effective. Meaning I may as well pay a tiny bit more for more power.
Torque can be tuned safely.
Why are you wanting to install head studs?

I thought with the addition of all this torque (HTA 71, E85, possibly bigger cams) on the stock block it'd be necessary. Concerned about rod bearing failure.

E85.

For comparison, It made 370 whp on 93 oct. Yes we are detuning it a tad to keep it in low 90 IDC and bring down some of the early torque.

I'm trying to get the owner to post in this thread for full mod list but from memory:

71HTA, 264 HKS cams, turboback, Wally 255, RC 1200cc.

I didn't post to brag about the numbers, only to share IDC data. I don't really care about numbers anymore.

Is the Wally 255 punched? Are you getting any surging?
