I recently installed the FP 71HTA with 84mm cover. I came from the Evo 8 with 10.5 housing. Turbo feels great, waiting for my 3port to be installed since boost isnt holding in upper rpms in 1st-3rd gear with stock

BCS. Here is a virtual dyno run in 3rd gear. I took it to ATCO last week, did 112mph, gained 26mph from the 1/8th to the end. Hoping once boost holds up high i will get another 2-3 mph out of my traps.

You should be able run more boost on 93 anyways. Turn that thing up to 25-26psi and hold it flat out the top.

Ya that is what I am hoping for, holding 25-26 psi on 93. I want to play with E85 afterwards :-)

Stop it, you're making me think about downgrading from my old JB Green to the 71hta with E85.

I hit 300wtq around 4k would love to have that around 3400

How much boost are you running on E85?

Really nice results...

You might want to add more preload to the WG and/or use stiffer WG actuator and not just rely on 3 port.. although 3 port is much better than stock..

30/31 and tapers to 27/28 by 7500rpm. Oh btw this was on stock cams. I have a set of S1's sitting on my shelf. But I might just sell them and do S2's instead

So 50whp more than a IX on stock turbo, 272s, and e85?
I dunno.
As for 30psi I wanted to do the same....But one small boost leak and my turbo is toast.
I do look forward to seeing what it will do @ 27psi/e85, though!

I did 390whp on the stock turbo on E85 at 30psi, but I had a leaky stock bov. When I swapped to the 71hta I upgraded to a Cobb DV with a really stiff spring

I have a feeling you'll see a little more than you're expecting..here's how I did, 24psi spike holding a flat 23 out the top on 93oct, with an anti-surge cover too

The car feels so great...my tuner was really impressed with how the turbo/setup did, considering we could give it 3-4 more psi out the top still. Tubular manifold coming soon so we will see how that helps things as well. This is such a great turbo, awesome powerband at reasonable boost, responds just as well as stock. Win win!!
