Results look similar to a 71HTA.

It looks like it hits late to me. My red has a similar torque curve.

Yeah they definitely are similar from what I've seen. Spool comes on just ever so slightly later than it would on a 71HTA.

I wish there was some info from someone with a built block. I think this turbo would scream on one of those. If I win the lottery I would go 2.2 and never look back.

Ok. Vaporware results except for JMills.

But with all the fanfare the FP54 had, it felt like vaporware

Haha you're definitely right about the fanfare, it was popping off on EvoM for a while.

I do hope more people post results as I would like to see other setups.

I didn't get a FP54 but instead I got a HPB-IX from Owen development. (Only because I'm currently in the U.K.). From what I understand these two are somewhat similar.

On my previous setup (BBK Full) the car made 441bhp (flywheel) @ 30psi tapering to 28psi according to the local dyno dynamics dyno. With the new turbo it made 433bhp (flywheel) @ 25-26psi tapering to 23psi

I tried pushing it to 30psi and on the dyno it surged during spool and it killed the power band. But that run made 473.9bhp

On a dyno jet it may be about 20-30hp less. Not sure though

I will say the BBK definitely outspooled this turbo. But I guess in theory it should being that this turbo is slightly bigger

Does that turbo have the FAP cover on it? If so, weird that it surged so bad. Would that be because of a comp wheel/turbine mismatch?

Yes it does. Now I haven't been able to recreate this on the road but I'm not loading it up like it was on the dyno either

You can hear it here. On this run I had tried to combat that surge by adjusting the wastegate. It still did it but not as much.

The 464bhp is the run on the video

Nice numbers! Similar to what I saw with the spool up.
How do you like it so far?
