Hey everyone. Ran into a slight problem with my injectors...

Previous owner cut some of the wiring harness. Well one of the things cut was all 4 injector wires. I found all of them 8 wires to be exact. I know which set goes to what injector however I do not know what wire goes to what side of the injector. Can some post pictures of the wires color to the side of the injector it goes on?

I'm just going to buy injector adapters and wire them up to ID1000s, I just want to make sure I do it right the first time.

The injector doesn't care. You can wire them either way and they'll work the same.

No he's not. You need the correct injectors firing. If you're firing 2/3 when 1/4 should be firing that's no bueno.

edit: i'm stupid and misread.

 

Actually, now I'm not sure. I've always been told it doesn't matter, but you made me google it since I've never had to wire them up or worry about wiring them "backwards". And I found a lot of conflicting answers. Some people that had problems, some people that didn't. I would call ID to be sure at this point. BUT, something tells me that if it did matter, they would be marked on the injector body, and so would the pig tails (or have different color wires).

 

Well for future reference and ASSUMING the wires are the same for the evo 8/9 here is the pattern for anyone interested. See pics:

Injector 1
Left: Orange
Right: Red

Injector 2
Left: White
Right: Red/White

Injector 3
Left: Green/Black?
Right: Red/Blue

Injector 4
Left: Red
Right: Red/Black

This is 100% correct for an EVO 9 as I have an Evo 9 as well however the wires on my 8 are the same so I am assuming they are wired the same.

***Pictures came in sideways so bottom of the picture would be the LEFT side of the injector and top is the right side.

 

good info also on some of the injectors if you look at the plug in some actually have a + symbol on the positive side to show that its polar, other injectors it doesn't matter and the electromagnet will work either way.
