Fujitsubo downpipe WILL definitely fit the Evo 8. I've got one and it's perfect

A flex section is supposed to allow the exhaust to move around when your car hits bumps. The 1g and 2g DSMs had them stock. The EVOs didn't. Without a flex section, the weight of the exhaust will generate a cantilevering effect at the o2 housing. If the exhaust is supported well enough along the car, this shouldn't be a problem.

RMR downpipe

I got the RMR downpipe and muffler system and a k&n filter and a front suspension part and some other minor goodies. All factory installed at a RMR retailer Mitsubishi dealership, with no warranty problems. I live in San Antonio and had to go to Georgetown(north of Austin) to have an RMR Mitsu dealer install it. I was running 14 on the 1/4 and ran last night with the mods and got 13.2 as my best time with no powershifting. Highly recomend these mods and on the RMR website you can find an authorized Mitsu dealer near you. My only complaint is how much louder the car is.I don't mind, but the cops due, and it's anoying to have ricers rev their engines every time you drive by.Next I will do the brakes and get a shortshifter and try my luck at Texas World Speedway with the Porsche Club of America. My dad has Stock sti and I will compare lap times with him, but he is a much better track driver than I am.I've only ran 3 times at TWS.

Does anyone happen to know if the Buschur 3" dp will fit up to the UR test pipe? I'm gonna assume so unless there are any odd gasket issues to consider...

Actually up until a couple of days ago our downpipes were only available with NO flange and wouldn't work with anyone else's cats/offroad pipes. We NOW have available flanged downpipes, all you have to do is call and specify when you order. So, yes, our downpipe will work with the UR offroad.

The Megan pipe is clearly the cheapest AND it has a flex section - is there any reason it is not the slam dunk winner - any fitment issues???

Thanks,
Scott
