Why do you think it's swapped?

There are only minor differences in the Evo 4 to Evo 6 motors. If the longblock was swapped, you'd really have to dig into it to find out which one it was, and honestly, it doesn't make that much difference.

I was just trying to make sure I know what I have. Also I got a iacv that I was told was off of the same car but it was different. I took one off a different motor I think out of a 5 that works. Also is the iacv supposed to pull apart like this?

Also when I did my timing belt and stuff I noticed some numbers written with a yellow paint pen and more numbers in white elsewhere on my block

Since all the Evo IVs start with T, I would think that TI is pretty much guaranteed to be an Evo IV engine; the list isn't entirely complete. If your VIN is around the middle of Evo IV production, I think it's a very good possibility it's your original engine, too.

The writing could be timing belt information, or it could be a junkyard Evo IV motor, but at least you know that it's an Evo IV motor, and the electrical wouldn't have been changed. The V/VI got some cooling and oiling upgrades that help with reliability, but it's not worthwhile to add these to a healthy motor.

Just found this in the same area, now I'm unsure of my engine again 😂 Looks like MD to me but that's also not in the other forum list

That's a Mitsubishi part number, not an engine code. It corresponds to an Evo 4 power steering pump bracket.

Mitsubishi part numbers mostly start with MD/MR/MB for just about everything.
