Hi
My evo has 2000 miles on it and I've noticed it feels like a lot of the powers gone like the vehicle is dragging I hear the turbo kicking in and you can feel it but in 2nd and 3rd gear when you get up to 3-4k rpms it really sounds like it lugging down and when you are at a constant speed in 2nd and 3rd or high when coming to a stop at 3-4 k rpms it has all sorts of groaning grinding noise. has anybody had this happen. All I know is the vehicle used o kick me back in my seat when I'd accelerate and now its not feeling that. has anybody else had this please advise

Check your intercooler piping.

 

do what he said..and check for any possbiel boost leak..

 

Change your oil and look for any metal filings or particles that may indicate a problem. Groaning and grinding doesn't sound like a boost leak.

 

o i didnt read that part..he's talking about deceleration noise i believe..isnt that a sign of a bad transfer case?

 

No telling these things make so much noise it's hard to tell what people are talking about sometimes.

far as the noise its a groan /grind noise on deacceleration at 3-4krpms its sound like atrans or a transfer case noise and its realitivly loud to when I first got it.It seems like its getting louder.My clutch also feels funny but Ihaven't done any mods or any abuse to vehicle I mean I've gotten on it alot but not dropping the clutch or double clutching If that the correct terms. it has play at the top of the clutch
