Got it i'll find a shop and take it in for rebuild thank you 2006EvoIXer. Do you know what it typically costs for a rebuild/rebalance is, range roughly? I also need to order some cylinder head bushings for the intake cam side, they were in really rough shape upon removal so waiting for some more parts to come in and on hold for now. Also Happy New Years!!! hope you all had a good new years eve.

Been a long time since I've updated this, but turbo was completely rebuilt. I had a cam tower bolt what was damaged (ordered replacements) and needed new head bushings (ordered more replacements) on the intake side. The mivec camgear cover (intake) with the 14 or 17mm alan got stuck... ended up impacting through it to get the dang thing off and (ordered a new replacement). Then I was like what the hell might as well pull the injectors out and give those a clean so they came out and got a ultrasonic cleaner bath. SO finally with the turbo set to arrive in a week, I'm planning to put the car back together. Just been reviewing all the secret mitsubishi tricks for putting things back and finding all the places to add sealant etc etc. Heres some pictures of the voyage along the way.

Broken Cam Cover lol

Clean Injectors and Cam Tower

The broken tower bolt mystery and pretensioning the new timing belt tensioner after I screwed it up

and finally the beautiful shiny rebuilt BBK turbo

Now I pray to the Mitsubishi Gods that everything goes back together, the car starts, and nothing leaks.

Your original noise was probably the timing belt tensioner

Big thanks to everyone who helped with figuring this out. Even though it was a pain in the butt to fix, the car finally works!!! The original noise was for sure one of the pulleys on the timing belt. The oil loss remains to be seen, but with a catch can, new valve seals, and a rebuilt turbo I think it should be remedied. I am still in the process of putting everything back together, but for now the engine it running and no leaks so far. I will continue working towards getting everything perfected hopefully within a couple weeks.
