those turbos were popular good 10-12 years ago but very outdated and outperformed by everything that is out now

Exactly. A gen2 6266 will out spool the 6262 and make more power.

Honestly after doing some homework it sounds like the 6266 would be a pretty great option! Eventually I'll go 2.0LR so I'm curious about spool times on a 2.0.

If you're building a motor, there's not reason to not build a 2.2L instead of a 2.0.

Either way, make sure you do a T4 twin scroll turbo kit for best spool up and power.

as long as you go with a t4 divided should spool pretty fast! And the smaller A/R you go the faster it will spool. I used a .82

But don't you go 4g64 at that point? Or is that for higher than 2.2?

No. You can use a 94mm crank and 150 or 153mm rods in a 4g63.

Anyone running an FP green, looking at an 06 IX with a built 2.0, Buschur head, FP green with a buschur ported manifold, 272 cams, arp head studs, said to be making 400 on pump but this seems low for the setup? Anyone have input?

Sounds like a smart setup to not push it on pump gas.

no fuel upgrades? without a bigger pump and injectors 400hp seems about right to me. might try a walbro 255 or 450 pump and maybe 1000cc-1200cc injectors if you want more umph.
otherwise your build should get you to 400-450hp on pump. me personally i'm running 1650cc injectors with a 450 pump on s3 280 cams and i'm making 450 all day. also i'd consider a fuel rail and radium FPR, cuz i capped out my fuel pressure at 58psi or so. had to upgrade from stock FPR to get over that.
with head studs you should be nice and safe till 500hp-550hp? something like that

you'd probably need to go E85 at that point though...

Personally haven't tried other turbos other than my 6466, car was put on the dyno 2 weeks ago to set up rolling anti lag, turned it up to check if engine was still healthy and made 913whp dynojet.
It's a t3 .85 and 2.0slr
boost was brought down should be back around 860ish,
Not really worried about Twin Scroll or regulating the boost at that level with a t3. 85 I just want all of it lol. (it's got a single 44mvr)

Sounds like an AG car.

I have a 9174 kit for sale if anyone is interested $2500 for the kit. I just went to the 6466 Gen 2 awaiting tune...
