Want Honest Opinion on kinugawa turbos

I have been looking into their turbos for months now and I have read a lot of good about them and some bad about them. They have been a round for so long that My assumption is they are a good cost efficient turbo.
•I would like to hear from people who have ran them on their own cars.• I have also heard they have wastegate problems a lot, is this in fact true?
also while I’m at it I would like to know the spool time for their 20g and 25g because I can’t decide which one is good for me.
I will Be running 91 pump with gsc s1 cams no more than 26psi. If I decide to to get one it will definitely be a ball bearing billet wheel and I would like to go td06sl2 25G but maybe it is too big for my goals which is a fun Street car around 400-430whp

any info and option is appreciated thank you.

It's all in my posts:

KAMAK

KILLER TURBO

BUILD THREAD

On a 20g 7+7 and 9 blade STS TD05H on E85 I ended up making 450hp to the WHEELS, but it spools super fast.

I haven’t seen any great results of those turbos on a dynojet or the track. A lot of them seem to be lazy and the results didn’t seem worth the lag IMO. I’ve seen some vd results that didn’t make 400wtq until 5000 with an mhi housing.
That’s terrible.

Maybe they have gotten better and I’m just not seeing the results.

Why not take the proven route with an FP green/red/black? Get what you pay for ,performs every time, no surprises. A JB is inexpensive.

When you add up what it costs to be tuned and enjoy the car it’s nice to have a responsive turbo that works.

Not a kinugawa but I have been running the Arashi dynamics 25g but same quality and in sure same performance as kinugawa mambatek and kamak. My review thread is here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...on-review.html

In a couple of months I might have time to do a back to back comparison of that turbo against a jb black that I have sitting in the shed.
