Talking with my engine builder were pretty sure the t case is on its last leg. It makes a very whinny noise when driving and here lately its very loud when cruising on the highway. Also when i start driving the car all three lights (tarmac, gravel, and snow) and lite up. Not sure if thats related but also wanna get rid of the ACD. So of course i wanna get it pulled and rebuilt.

A little about the car. Its basically a 1xxxwhp built by AP racing, I usually just do roll racing events but sometimes do little pulls on the highway. I also talked with the builder about switching from the 7675 to a 6766 for a "better" street car and maybe take it to the drags a little. So i want this t case to be pretty much bullet proof with what i wanna do so i dont have to mess with it again. Just looking around on ShepTrans and you can get these sent off and get a "stage 2" rebuild and also add a wavetrac. Just wondering is that what its going to take or is there more?

The 6766 is a terrible idea. Go to a gen2 6466 or 6870. Both will spool faster and make more power.

 

Correct me if im wrong but isnt the 6870 and 7675 in the same boat pretty much?
Both will make 1xxxwhp . Not sure on spool tho

TRE builds fantastic t cases and he already explained why NOT to get the 6766. I mean if you want a turbo that spools slower and makes less power than the two he listed by all means get it.

A gen2 7675 is a 1200hp turbo. The 6870 will barely break 1000 on absolutely all of it with the full and correct compliment of parts. A 6466 will spool around 200rpm faster than the 6870 and make about 100 less horsepower.

Send it to TRE! I recently has Jon build my tcase and it took 4 weeks, this was done about a month ago. Just be advised, he doesn't accept CC so you cant get the CC points, lol.

always quick turn around. no issues.

 

I'm starting to think that either of the 2 (TRE or Shep) will get the job done. I couldn't get a hold of tre but called shep and they told me that their stage 2 and wavetrac lsd has yet to be returned due to failure so that makes me feel good. Thanks for all the good info guys
