Nothing got on the discs, that organic material just sucks that bad.
Sorry to see that.
I mean it is what it is ya know. The new clutch with the ceramic disc seems way lighter pedal then the organic. I got in my buddy's car with the same clutch I had before with organic and it's nite and day different pedal feel

so at this point I’m thinking the act mod but unsprung ceramic disk. I’m not massive power, car runs high 11s, looking for longevity. My exedy twin had ceramatallic lasted almost 60k originally.

At this point i would say yes. I really like the feel of this clutch and its not really grabby like the exedy twin is. It will allow you to bite into the disc, but you can also slip it which makes it nice as well. Very friendly to drive . I wish i would have done this first

this is the kinda of stuff you need to hear. I do a twin even in my lower power for the lighter clutch and the fact I don’t have a stock flywheel. I figured the ceramic act should be close to my exedy due to the disk size and it was also unsprung.
who would be safe to order from that would have the latest revisions of the floater plate so I don’t end up with a early floater with bad fingers?

Normally I would has said **** this thing and been done with it, but I have done the Exedy stuff and to me its to harsh on the street. Now if i had a track only car yeah id have an Exedy for sure. I have family who work for Exedy and i told them build a better clutch. My version of the clutch originally was the first version which did have problems, but thankfully I didn't have any issues other then what just happened but It was worth me buying another one for sure. I think even with a lower power level this thing is well worth it. I always tell people overbuild and build it to last. If you don't your going to run into problems.

my first exedy twin was not bad. It was bought in 2010 or so when I had shep go through my trans. It was the HD unit and not terrible.
which cover would you recommend. The HD or the XT?

I have been looking to see which clutch I ordered and for the life of me I cannot find any emails regarding my clutch. As for your question it would depend on how much power you want to put in your car. If your keeping it under 800 ft lbs of tq to the crank go with the street. If your doing something more then that xt which is what I think I have.

blocks still stock so staying around where I am. Car ran 11.9@116 on a slick July night. So I’d guess the HD would suffice.

Just to be clear for those who may read this.
Disc material has zero effect on clutch pedal effort.
It may make a difference on engagement feel, but it will not make a pedal heavier or lighter.
some treats from my ACT twin. the big ones jammed my starter and I found atleast 4 of those L shaped fingers. I think its from the center ring at the end of the PP springs, where the monoloc locks into
I'm buying a new set, hopefully I can rebuild this and make it as my back up
