I got a friend running an FP black on his car at 600 hp to the wheels, but his torque is 400 something, Evo dynamics in lewisville TX told him becareful about your torque because thats where its at.

Now I have a noob question lol, how much horsepower can you evo guys push on just stock stuff not engine but piping, fuel regualator etc... before you need to upgrade? Just kinda curious

From what I've heard as far as keeping reliability along with fun power, right around the 400whp range is the sweet spot and that high torque at low rpm is what really stresses these motors. That's going to be what I shoot for in the future considering I like to daily my evo.

Also since I daily my evo I've been straying farther from FP turbo's and leaning more towards going external with a GT30r or GT35r. This way torque is kept lower, easier to stay out of boost driving around town, and pick up nice top end power when you want to have some fun.

Nice to hear people pushing these motors to 500awhp without problems. Makes me feel more comfortable keeping the stocker and just going big turbo )

You can do that easily. I hit 351whp on a mustang dyno with kelford 272's on stock springs & retainers, turbo, 23-24 psi

505hp /405 TQ E-85 and 400hp on 93 on stock internal. It depend on your tuner, is it tune to the edge with no safety margin? And last how do you drive it. I mean you can beat on it but are you bouncing the rev limeter in every gear!
