A work in progress- EVO parts

Hi, I bought my evo VIII 3 months ago, and so far I've put on an AEM intake, greddy BOV & Boost Guage, Espelia Exhaust, and Turbo Timer. I'm willing to spend about $2500-3500 more on parts to make it as fast as possible while maintaining realiability; I don't want the engine/turbo to break down on me any time soon.

Anyway, I have about $1000 bucks to spend this week, and I would love to hear some suggestions on what I should do next to the car with that money.

Thanks.

Spend money on using the "Search" button...

I would definately invest in some piggyback/AF controller/ECU flash next. Boost controller next, DP, high flow cat/testpipe. If your exhaust is already turboback, then opt for a new FMIC.

i'd get some COILOVERS, I/C piping, boost controller, AFC or maybe even a new AEM ecu. Injectors, fuel pump, cams, clutch, dyno tuned, short shifter, sway bars, strut bars, sway bar links..... endless list..

but if i had 3500.... i would go like this. Boost controller, intercooler piping, downpipe, AEM ecu, injectors, fuel pump, and DYNO TUNED..... that'll drop you around a good 4000$. You do that and i bet u can run some quick 12's in the 1/4.

I'd spend the money on a driving school (ASSUMING that you have never gone to one yet, maybe you have - I don't know you... so don't flame me). It is just a suggestion. Many people are surprised how many seconds of speed they find after a good weekend of instructions at the track.

I'd strongly suggest as much track time as you can get.. As many HPDEs as you can physically muster. Plus every mod you do to yourself appreciates in value and will work on every car you ever get behind the wheel of.

Modify the nut behind the wheel!
