Hate to make a thread for this but it's driving me nuts and I can't find a simple Google pic to confirm this. It's been awhile since I've done this job and forgot how the front axles sit, is this gap normal? I pushed them in all the way into the tcase and trans and hear a click however I though the seal wasn't supposed to be visible like in the pic. Is this normal? If anyone can confirm it id like to put this car on the ground again.
that's normal. without the axle nut you can push the axle in with a piece of wood until it hits 'solid bottom'. turn the hub and push it again just to be sure
That normal. Just the dust shield you're looking at. As long as you can't pull it off the tcase by hand, it's Gucci.
Thanks man good to get the confirmation again. I thought it was supposed to mate right to the housing for some reason. I can't pull it out pulling really hard by hand so I it's good
